Have you energy, talent and ideas? You are invited to work with professionals in projects and activities for the c4real festival on 16th June 2006.
The Festival
The festival is a celebration of sustainability, social eco living and culture in EVA Lanxmeer.
People will be welcomed to see the neighbourhood, meet other creative people and be informed of what is emerging in the new ecological consciousness. Young people are invited to incorporate their ideas into the event.
The event will be presented in a fresh, interactive and creative way. There will be cultural/dance events, presentations and tours of the eco neighbourhood, spontaneous cultural acts, workshops, games, local organic food, research projects, children’s activities and discussions. Many of the houses and buildings will be open to visit and activities will happen all over the neighbourhood.
Workshops: on such things as education, economics for well being, holistic architecture, ecology, organic farming, body work, co-operative games, music, singing, dance, empowerment. Program will be confirmed during the preparation stage.
Facilitators: Many of the facilitators of the workshops will be from the community, giving them a chance to share their initiatives and knowledge. Participants learn from those who are being the change.
Apprentices: Students and other people will work with residents actively living and working for sustainable change doing projects and also incorporating their own ideas into the event.
Target group: Anyone interested in creating a life sustaining culture.

During the preparation there will be co creation days with apprentices, volunteers and residents.
Location: Eva Lanxmeer, Culemborg. This is an inspiring place demonstrating community living, permaculture and sustainable building, water and energy use. It is an experimental neighbourhood integrating living and working. Moreover many of the members of the community are active in the areas of agriculture, economy, architecture, spirituality, bodywork and culture. It is a great location to discuss how we can live in the future.
Being sustainable: There will be special consideration that the gathering itself is sustainabily facilitated with awareness of the food (as local and organic as possible), waste ( composting, low waste, recycling) and energy use. Participants will be invited to take an active part in the life of the festival.
Volunteers: An important element of the festival is volunteer participation. We will invite people from the neighbourhood, Culemborg and beyond to join the team and enjoy being part of the festival.
